SERDANG, March 13 – Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) through its Sports Centre hosted its 2017 Sports Carnival with a bang.

The second edition of the championship was held from March 11 to March 12, 2017, at UPM Sports Complex.

The organization of the sports carnival is important in providing a platform for the local community to enjoy healthy living through sports activities held at the “hub”.

UPM is seen as an organization that is able to provide a complete sports facilities for sports tournaments, both at national and international levels.

In the 2017 edition, several sports events were contested, including 9-a-side Open Football, 9-a-side Football (Under 12), Ping Pong Novice, dart (double and individuals) and Sepak Takraw Regu.

The response was encouraging, particularly from teams in the Klang Valley.

In the Open 9-a-side Open Football, Bomba Putrajaya FC team emerged as champions while second and third place went to Semanis Kurma and Red White FC respectively - UPM
