SERDANG – Universiti Putra Malaysia has been appointed as the host of The 7th International Workshop on UI-GreenMetric World University Rankings (IWGM 2021).

This online programme was initially scheduled to be held from July 13 until 15. However, it was postponed to August 24 until 26, 2021.

Director of the Centre for Corporate Strategy and Relations, UPM, Prof. Dr. Azmawani Abd Rahman, said she hoped that this time around, the IWGM would attract the participation from both local and international universities to discuss the role of universities in jointly achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the United Nations (UN).

“This IWGM is not only focusing on the main topic, but it would serve as a bridge to connect UPM with those international universities where collaborations can be carried out subsequently to accomplish a better future for everyone,” she said.

The collaboration from both universities, UPM and Universitas Indonesia, as co-organisers is a reflection of an effort to ensure the 17th goal in the SDGs, Partnership for the Goals, can be achieved together.
