SERDANG, March 6 - The Chapter Alumni YOSH of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) distributed free food to students under Friday Rezqi programme today. 

The programme was held at the bus stops near the Faculty of Science, School of Business and Economics, and UPM Mosque.

Friday Rezqi 1.0 programme director, Nor Iman Ilyani, said the programme was sponsored by the Food for Hunger Organization (FFH) and UPM alumni. 

“The Chapter Alumni YOSH UPM will prepare about 100 to 200 packs of food once every two weeks. We start to distribute the food at 11 am,” she said. 

In today's programme, the food was completely distributed within an hour. Eight volunteers worked together to ensure the success of the programme. 

The first team distributed 100 packs of Friday Rezqi Nasi Lemak at the bus stops near the Faculty of Science and School of Business and Economics, while the second team distributed 100 packs of Friday Rezqi Steamed Rice at UPM Mosque after Friday prayers. 

A Bachelor of Education (Teaching English as Second Language) student from the Faculty of Educational Studies, Muhammad Radhi Amir, said the programme was a good platform to train future volunteers, especially students in instilling values ​​such as fostering a moderate attitude in life as well as becoming a charitable individual. 

A School of Business and Economics student, Nur Syafiqah Zulkifli, is grateful and thankful to FFH and the Chapter YOSH Alumni UPM for their concerns of students.

“I hope UPM students would appreciate and benefit from this noble effort. Such programme needs to be held from time to time so that more students would benefit from it,“ she said - UPM
