GUIYANG, July 22 – The Vice Chancellor of UPM, Prof. Datin Paduka Dato' Dr. Aini Ideris, presented a speech, on behalf of the Malaysian Higher Education Institutions participating in the 12th edition China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week 2019, during the opening ceremony of CAECW 2019 held on 22nd July 2019 here today.

She expressed Malaysia's aspirations and aims to enhance cooperation on student mobility, staff exchange, research collaboration and industrial engagement of nine Malaysian public and private universities with China's esteemed universities. 

UPM also signed four Letter of Intents with four Chinese education institutions, namely Guizhou Polytechnic of Construction, Guizhou Equipment Manufacturing Vocational College, Guizhou University and Guizhou Light Industry Technical College with full support from the Education Malaysia Beijing (EMB). 

The LoIs will open doors to many opportunities for students, academicians and researchers to explore bilateral knowledge enhancement and sharing of experiences between the two countries. 

The signing of the LoIs was held in conjunction with the 12th China Asean Education Communication Week in Guiyang, Guizhou, China. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Prof Dr. Rahmah Ahmad H. Osman, the Director for the Department of Higher Education Ministry of Education Malaysia and Abdul Aziz How
