KUALA LUMPUR, August 18 – Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Prof. Datin Paduka Dr. Aini Ideris was commissioned as Colonel (Honorary) in the Federal Volunteer Force of Reserve Officers Training Unit (PALAPES) as UPM PALAPES Commander during a commissioning of credential ceremony held at the Army Headquarters of the Reserve Unit Division, Ministry of Defence.

The commissioning ceremony was officiated by Army Chief, General Tan Sri Raja Mohamed Affandi Raja Mohamed Noor, and witnessed by Malaysian Army senior officials.

The commissioning of the credential was granted by Duli Yang Maha Mulia Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Di-Pertuan Agong on the recommendation made by the Armed Forces Council during its 548th meeting on May 23. - UPM
